Bloated purple America?
Discussion of the 2004 electoral map continues and attempts to remedy the confusion of a simple red/blue map persist.
The latest attempts count as red or blue counties that were by by 70% or more. This changes earlier maps that only reflect 100% wins as purely red or blue.
The next step is to examine the data based on population size.
The resulting bloated map-o-merica is a shocking spread. Looking a big clumps of blue one can easily pick out population areas listing off almost all of the major cities.
What this portends for an increasingly urban America is still wishful thinking but a guy can dream can't he?
