Free Wi-Fi On the National Mall
Free wireless internet access will soon be expanded in the nation's capitol to cover the entire length of the National Mall. According to Reuters, anyone with a Wi-Fi equipped laptop can access the Internet around the Supreme Court and Capitol buildings, thanks to the non-profit Open Park Project. The group plans to install six additional "hot spots" within a year, making access on the Mall complete. Open Park group director Greg Staple says that the additional installion with cost $250,000 but is worth the cost to "enhance the tradition of free expression and democracy embodied in public buildings and monuments."
