Why I Love My iPod

| | Comments (1)

There are days when I regret my impulsive purchases and then there are days like today when I revel in them. Shortly after Apple announced the availability of Windows compadible iPod's last fall I saw one, a never used open-box one to be precise, at Best Buy and couldn't resist.

Now I carry my cd collection in my pocket and love every minute of it. On my way home from the Coffee & Politics / Book Club organizing meeting last evening I went directly from chatting with Christina on the Metro to bumping into Andy in the Metro station. One would think that in a city of aproximately 571,822 I wouldn't bump into people I know so often.

We started chatting and decided to drop into Treo for coffee or tea but ended up having delicious milk shakes. Anyhow, I swear this is relevant, Andy asked about my iPod and said something about how great it must be to be able to put your whole collection on shuffle and listen to things that you have forgotten about. Arriving at work today I decided to give it a try and have been enjoying the depths of my music collection ever since.

Sam, I demand you take me to this bountiful milkshake place. Or at least tell me where it is. Do you know how long it is since I've had a milkshake? As for the IPod, we Luddites with our dialup connections and 5 year old walkmans do not understand such things.
