They Might Be Giants are still cool

The most common response to "I went to a They Might Be Giants concert on Saturday night" is "oh I didn't realize they are still touring." Well yeah they are still touring and they are still as cool as ever. For the third time in two years I saw them play live. First in Champaign-Urbana with John Dodd and Aaron, then last summer in a free outdoor concert with Felice and now most recently with Christina at the famous 9:30 club.

We missed the openers because we ran over to Ben's Chili Bowl for a quick dinner returning just in time for the main act. They really know how to put on a great show of their old stuff mixed in with their new things. I only own Flood (as does the rest of the universe), No (their latest album) and Then (a two disc compilation of stuff from the early years). If you have ever have the chance to see them live they are well worth it!
